i missed the first 40 minutes of the most important episode of the season because of work, so i can only comment on the last 20 minutes! :-(

i thought castiel and bobby died! thank goodness they didn't! does that mean misha won't be beck for next season, if he's going back to heaven, because that would be sad.

lucifer did a number on dean. he looked just awful! thank you to cas for fixing him up...and bringing bobby back to life.

was that sam at the end, or was he still possessed by something? how did he get out of the pit? the same way cas came back? so many questions!

of the 20 minutes i watched. IT...WAS...A-MAZING! now i have to go back and watch the first half.

I thought this episode was so good- i was crying though for most of it!!

I think the way it was told, with Chuck narrating it, it felt like it was the finale episode ever. The flashbacks as well, when they are in the car made me remember all the good times they had. When Bobby died,i thought that was going to be the end and the part where Lucifer/Sam is beating Dean up and Dean keeps saying I'm not going to leave you- damn that was so heart wrenching
I really cannot wait for the new season, it will be interesting to see where the story goes now

Okay *fingers blowing* Lets get this started, shall we?

Crowley: totally told Lucifer about the rings, how else would've he known about them?

Azazel's entorage: wow! they indded had been keeping an eye on Sam.

Chuck: Good Lord! I totally have the feeling that he was indded GOD himself.

Cas and Bobby: I very much doubt that they'll be back next season, cried like a little baby who just pooped it's diapers when they died.

Michael: why was he so determined to fight Lucifer? Even when Dean & Sam had another choice.

What brings me to this last...question? If they jumped together and Sam was the one that was watching Dean from outside the window -what I don't understand is the flickering light-, where is Michael? Is he the new "Lucifer" trapped in the pit?

This season finale looked more like a season ending han a finale if it weren't for the fact that we know there'll be a 6th season and the fact -as I mentioned before- that "Sam" is back, it would've been an almost "perfect way" to end the series...
I guess that the one who was truly saying goodbye was Eric so, Goodbye genious, see you around!

It's been a while since I reviewed any Superrnatural episodes. The reason, I haven't felt the need to because in my opinion, they have all sucked :(.

But Swan Song was different.

From the first second it had me in tears. I was yelling and screaming at my computer screen, because I knew what was going to happen.

Sam would say yes to Lucifer, and he wouldn't be coming home. There is noway anyone can fight him. Sam only managed to, when he remembered the memories he had in the Impala with Dean. Of course this again made me cry :(.

I wasn't too upset when Bobby and Castiel died, because they went out fighting, just like Jo and Ellen.

Many people have said that it felt like a series finale. That's because for Eric Kripke it was. IMO, Supernatural should have finished there. Everything was wrapped up neatly and Dean got to live a normal life with the women he loves. Sam turning up at the end was unexpected. Is it Sam or Lucifer? What did happen to Michael and Adam?

I've said from the start, that I won't be watching S6 because it's without Kripke. Kripke is the only one who knows the story, because it's his baby. Everyone else will just ruin it :(

Thanks for the best five years Supernatural. You will always be the best show on TV :D

Sam when he was talking with devil by mirror waw he appeared different characters in same time .... Dean was perfect when he cried and when he said to Samy you aren't still young oh its good conversation between two brother and when Dean said i will not leave you ..... every position on Swan Song was perfect ..... :thumb: ops i forget i am not convincing when Sam remember his life , i think there are many ways more good .they can replace the position of car with any thing by the way i liked :congrats2:

such a powerful episode. i thought someone was supposed to die? or sacrifice themselves? i loved the montage when sam was remembering his life with dean.

as much as i wanted there to be a sixth season, i totally agree. the way they ended it was perfect. except for sam coming back at the end. if it had been the series finale, then i think it would've been better if sam didn't come back. nothing against him or jared, of course, but for the storyline purpose, that's how i feel. also, knowing how the season ended, i wouldn't have minded as much if this episode had been the last of the series.

i just read on facebook that someone actually hated the finale! can't imagine why.

The only thing I didn't like was Dean with Lisa at the end. Because I don't think he really loves her. He loves what she represents. Plus, there's really not that much chemistry there.
But I am curious to see what happens next season. Kripke hasn't abandoned Supernatural. He's still going to be there. He's just not totally in charge anymore. Plus, I trust Sera to do the right thing.

Wow just wow. I thought that I could not feel the saddness that I felt at season 3 finale but Kripke's end and vision for the Winchester Brothers sure has left me sad, crying and well just sad. The whole introduction, the narrated dialogue through Chuck / Prophet, the third character, the Impala, finally having the recognition and importance of her tied into the Brother story. I am so speechless at the moment but the episode was beautifully shot Dean's never say die attitude, having faith in his Brother, Sam's v Lucifier mirror scene was brilliant. The end where Dean has the apple pie life, but still not complete nor happy and Sam / Lucifier / ? watching over him in his apple pie life. I have to stop being an emotional wreck before I can make sense of this :-(

Still sobbed :-( rewatching the episode. But Mr Jared Padalecki the transformation from soft face caring Sam to smooth talking harsh Lucifier was just brilliant and perfectly executed. The episode still leaves me grabbing for the kleenex but when I see Sam/Lucifier and Adam/Michael match fight it makes me wonder if Kripke's plan was Sam V Dean or if the way it ended was his plan all along. So was Chuck God ?

The symbol that was drawn on the window by Lucifier was the same symbol that was in Crowley's hide out in The Devil you Know and the symbol that Crowley carved on Brady's chest. Was Crowley just trying to get Sam to say yes and in that case why?
